Nursel is a passionate minister and worshipper whose highest level of fulfillment as a gospel singer comes when her listeners' world changes for the better. Through scripture based, inspirational and spiritual messages in her music, Nursel continues to lift the name of Jesus and share the love of God. Through her Christian upbringing and support from her family, Nursel is grateful and excited to have finally found a way to use her talents and artistically share her passion for praise and worship and witness what God has pre-ordained for both her listeners and herself
Her music has both traditional and contemporary styles, and she has won awards and nominations from Maranatha USA, ZimBrits, PGMA, Zim Achivers, among others. While Nursel continues to work on her music and record new albums, she also fits in her other roles as a mother of three young children Benaiah, Neshama and Neyanna and her husband Bernard Mandiopera.
How it started
Nursel’s journey into the world of music began when she was just three years old, and her talent was evident from the start. Not only did she have a natural gift for singing, but she also had a flair for dancing that drew crowds to her local performances. Growing up, Nursel's family, guided by her father, moved from one church to another, searching for a true place of worship. In 1992, Nursel found her spiritual home and began attending church regularly, leading to her becoming a born-again Christian in 1998. This marked the beginning of a deep and passionate love for her ministry, which saw her performing in choirs, groups, and as a soloist throughout her high school years and in church.
After relocating to the UK, Nursel made her mark on the music scene with the release of her debut single, Like Heaven, in 2016. The song was a powerful echo of Jesus' prayer for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This single set the tone for her mission in music: to worship and praise the Father, spreading joy, hope, and love through her melodies, and drawing inspiration from anointed gospel artists worldwide.
In 2018, Nursel unveiled her 9-track debut album, You Are My God, which made a splash with an official launch at an album listening party, and even caught the attention of SKY TV's Digging Deep Show. The following year, she released an EP titled Living in Victory, featuring the Afrobeat-inspired track "Makomborero." Her first evangelical project, The Good News, came out in 2021, with Nursel steadily releasing tracks from the album, each accompanied by a visual or lyric video.
Her latest album, My God and Me, debuted with an electrifying live concert in 2024, capturing hearts and souls with its powerful message. The event was nothing short of spectacular, with waves of testimonials pouring in, each one a testament to God's glory. The night was a celebration of faith, music, and divine inspiration—an unforgettable experience that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
Today, Nursel’s music is available on all major online platforms, and many of her previous productions have accompanying videos on YouTube, continuing to inspire and uplift audiences around the world.
