About Nursel

Nursel is a passionate minister and worshipper whose highest level of fulfillment as a gospel singer comes when her listeners' world changes for the better. Through scripture based, inspirational and spiritual messages in her music, Nursel continues to lift the name of Jesus and share the love of God. Through her Christian upbringing and support from her family, Nursel is grateful and excited to have finally found a way to use her talents and artistically share her passion for praise and worship and witness what God has pre-ordained for both her listeners and herself
Her music has both traditional and contemporary styles, and she has won awards and nominations from Maranatha USA, ZimBrits, PGMA, Zim Achivers, among others. While Nursel continues to work on her music and record new albums, she also fits in her other roles as a mother of three young children Benaiah, Neshama and Neyanna and her husband Bernard Mandiopera.
How it all started
Engaging harmonies, ministering lyrics and a divine driven purpose exudes from the music by this UK based singer/songwriter Nursel Masuka-Mandiopera, also known as Nursel Light. She discovered her passion for music at the age of three - and it wasn’t just about singing; she was a great dancer too and would pull crowds at local performances. As a child, Nursel’s family, led by her father, moved from church to church, in search of God and a place of worship. She then started attending church regularly in 1992, becoming a born-again Christian in 1998. From that time her love for her ministry grew and she performed in choirs, groups and as a soloist throughout her high school days and at church.
After relocating to the UK, she released her debut single, Like Heaven, in 2016 and she used her voice to echo Jesus' prayer that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. From then on, her desire has always been to worship and praise the Father, spread joy, hope and love through music, passing on inspiration from other powerful and anointed gospel artists worldwide.
In 2018, Nursel released a 9 track debut album called You are my God which was officially launched at an album listening party, highlights where featured at the SKY TV's Digging Deep Show. In 2019, she released an EP called ‘Living in Victory' which featured the Afro-beat enthused Makomborero. Her first evangelical project called The Good News was released in 2021 and she has been releasing tracks from the album, over the past months, each accompanied by a visual or lyrics video. All her music is available on all major online music platforms and some of her previous productions have videos available to watch on YouTube.
